Learn More About Victory Column

Walking towards the Victory Column down the Street of 17 June, you will notice the glistening gold of Victoria, the Goddess of Victory’s wings shimmering in the sunshine.

The Victory Colum was erected in 1873 and commemorates Germany’s various victories against Denmark, Austria and France.

Like Berliner Fernsehturm and Brandenburg Gate, the Victory Column is an emblematic icon in Berlin’s cityscape. The landmark attracts thousands of visitors every year who climb up the 285 steps to the top and are captivated by views over the Tiergarten.

In more recent years, the closing rally of the techno festival Love Parade takes place at the bottom of the Column and attracts a different kind of tourist not always looking for a history lesson!

Experience was good. I would use them again Very close to where we were staying. One of the staff indicated they were closed when the sign showed otherwise. Not sure what that was about.

The staff was not that nice, but that's ok. The backpacks were stored on the top of the refrigerator; quite safe I would say. The service is quite expensive, but it worth it.

We made a full day reservation for our bags. They were at the main port and easy to find. We just showed them the QR code from the email attachment we received. They took pictures of the bags we gave them, and kept them there for us. To get them back, we just had to show them the QR code again. Very easy and conveniently located.
