What to see in 1 day
Aberdeen - also called the Granite City is a port city located 200 km north of Edinburgh, mainly visited by road travelers! Although direct flights to Aberdeen do not exist, British Airways offers excellent connections to this part of Scotland.
If you are in the city for just one day, you should definitely visit the Old Town, built entirely of grey granite.
Once in town, you can't forget to visit Aberdeen Maritime Museum where you can learn a lot about the deep relationship that the city has with the sea. The Museum houses a unique collection of ships, sailing ships and fishing gear.
Another noteworthy attraction is the Aberdeen Art Gallery, where you'll find wonderful paintings and sculptures. Want to visit an atypical pub? Then you'll have to go to the Slains Castle, a bar located inside a historic building that will certainly surprise you!
