The Bergenhus Fortress
In Bergen, there are many museums and historic buildings, one of the most important is the Bergenhus Fortress (In Norwegian: Bergenhus festning). This huge structure is a museum that hosts exhibitions dedicated to the Second World War and its consequences. Inside the complex, you will see the Håkonshallen, a stone hall dating from the mid-13th century. The architecture of this hall inspired all the Norwegian royal palaces built from the Middle Ages onwards.
