So easy - much cheaper than paying to bring our large suitcase on an internal flight when we did not need it. Suitcase was stored behind the front desk counter of the hostel. I'm not sure really how secure this is i.e. if someone is behind the desk 24/7 so I would advice against leaving anything particularly valuable. But otherwise really good storage option in central Copacabana.
